- Oklahoma City, OK // Corporate
Devon Energy Headquarters is a large development in the heart of Oklahoma City. The 925-foot tall office tower, public atrium, theatre and commercial space serve as a catalyst for future development of the downtown core. The landscape components are extensive and include large public open spaces, water features, gardens and streetscapes.
A cascading water wall welcomes visitors to this bustling workplace. The stone wall serves as signage, alludes to the geologic nature of Devon’s industry and acts as a buffer between public and private event spaces.
The large stone blocks, boulders and water feature of the Sheridan Street Garden provides an enjoyable streetscape experience and a buffer between street and lawn. The soft grasses and calming reflections in the water conceal a rigid substation system of safety bollards, responding to the aftershock of the Oklahoma City bombing that is still felt today.
