- AUSTIN IN STEREO
- Austin, TX // Residential
The flagship project, offered by Fern Santini Collaborative in partnership with Bespoke Dwellings, will be the complete transformation of a majestic lake view home in Austin's Tarrytown neighborhood. Set among heritage oaks on a quiet private street, the home will combine the hip and the historic in a timeless style.
The landscape offers a sophisticated sensory experience relying on texture, fragrance, color and form to complement the live oak canopies, lake views and timeless architectural style.
Tightly spaced Japanese Yew hedge encloses the entire property, separating the ordinary streetscape from an extraordinarily simple yet dynamic entry garden. Inspired by Fernando Caruncho's Famous Green Garden in Madrid, the entry garden uses familiar limestone in a robust application to support an annual display of 'Psycho White Cosmos.' The use of ephemeral plantings is luxurious and bold.
The gorgeous home will honor Austin's musical soul by supporting HAAM, a local non profit which provides access to affordable health care for Austin's low-income working musicians. In keeping with the musical theme of the home, the spaces will be designed for entertaining and for an optimal listening experience.
