Carolina Martinez
Carolina’s role as a Landscape Designer is informed by 7 years of experience as an Architect/Interior Designer and 10 years of experience as a draftsman. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Carolina made the transition from her role as an architectural designer in the hospitality industry to that of a landscape designer at Shademaker Studio when she moved to Austin earlier this year.
She was drawn to the design profession by a desire to help shape her hometown of Santo Domingo, which has rapidly developed in past years. Witnessing this growth and development also emphasized for her the need to infuse cities with open space and habitat.
As a Landscape Designer in Austin, Carolina appreciates the extent to which trees and unique site features are valued by Austinites and enjoys using her technical expertise to create complementary landscape and architectural environments. She believes that collaboration is fundamental to achieving a common goal and shared dedication is key to creating an extraordinary project.
